Asus Convertible laptops
Asus has also introduced two new convertible laptops VivoBook Flip TP301 and TP510 at CES 2016. The convertible laptops come with a screen size of 13.3-inches and 15.6-inches respectively. The machines flaunt a metallic finish and a robust 360-degree hinge that let users flip instantly between laptop, tablet, tent, and stand modes to suit the task at hand.
Both the hybrids run on Windows 10 and are powered by a 6th-generation Intel Core i7 processor and up to NVIDIA GeForce 940M discrete graphics.
ZTE budget and mid-range handsets
ZTE has launched two smartphones in CES 2016 that will make their way in the Indian market. Avid Plus is an entry level Android smartphone with a 5-inch LCD display, In terms of imaging, the handset packs in a 5MP rear-camera and 2MP front-camera and runs on a 1.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor coupled with 1GBof RAM. The smartphone is expected to be priced under Rs 6,000 in the Indian market.
Another smartphone that the company can launch in India is Grand X 3. It comes with a 5.5” HD display, a Qualcomm 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and packs in Dolby Audio. The 4G LTE smartphone is powered by a 3080 mAh battery and has a 16 GB of internal memory that can be expanded by up to 64 GB.
Huawei Mate 8
Huawei has launched the global version of its latest high-end flagship smartphone – Mate 8. The smartphone features a 6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display covered with a 2.5 D curved diamond-cut glass. There is an octa-core Kirin 950 SoC with 3GB/4GB of RAM along with 32, 64 and 128GB storage options. The handset is fitted with a 16MP rear camera, an 8MP front shooter and a large 4,000mAh battery unit. The company can launch the smartphone anytime soon in the Indian market.
Acer Aspire 12 S 2-in-1
Acer’s new Aspire Switch 12 S 2-in-1 laptop features a a detachable 12.5-inch 4K or full HD display and uses Acer’s Snap Hinge Gold technology to deliver a responsive typing experience the keyboard. The hybrid machine is based on the Intel Core M central processing unit with 4.5W thermal design power and Skylake micro-architecture. It packs in a 4GB or 8GB of DRAM, a 128 GB or a 256 GB SSD, a 720p front-facing webcam, and Intel RealSense R200 camera for 3D scanning. There are two USB 3.0 ports, one Thunderbolt 3/USB 3.1 type-C port as well as a micro-SD card reader.
Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga
Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga is another addition to the flexible Yoga series machines. It features a 14-inch 2560×1440 pixel display, a 6th generation Intel Core i7 Pro series processor along with an Intel HD 520 graphics, 16GB of RAM and a good 1TB of SSD storage. The machine also brings a host of connectivity ports and features such as, three USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port, a mini DisplayPort, a finger print reader, microSD card slot and an audio jack. Besides, there is a stylus pen to make things simpler when you use the hybrid in tablet mode.
Lenovo Ideacentre 610S
Another interesting product from Lenovo is the Ideacentre 610S, which is a regular PC with a full-scale projector integrated into it. The projector unit can project a screen of up to 100-inches at a distance of 2.4-metres. You can mount it onto a tripod or on top of the desktop. In short, you don’t need an external monitor with this machine. In terms of specifications, it has a 16GB RAM, a 2TB hard drive (or 128GB SSD), Intel Core i7 CPU, and Nvidia GeForce 750 Ti graphics card.
Asus Zenfone Zoom
Creating buzz from last one year, Asus Zenfone Zoom is also on showcase in CES 2016. The smartphone is set to launch on January 22 in India. As the name suggests, it is a camera focused device with a 13MP rear camera with Real Tone Flash and Panasonic sensor that supports 3x optical zoom at 28-48mm focal length. The front has a 5MP snapper for clicking selfies.
t features a 5.5-inch display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Zenfone Zoom is backed by a 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom processor paired with 4GB of RAM. There is 64GB/128GB internal memory, which can be expanded further by up to 128GB using a microSD card.
Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Tablet
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Tablet is a product that will definitely impress a large audience once the company makes it available in India. The hybrid machine comes with a Surface Pro like hinge, which can convert it into a full-fledged laptop by connecting full size ThinkPad keyboard that has the signature Red TrackPoint. The 12-inch tablet runs on Windows 10 and is powered by Intel Core M7 chipset processor.
The interesting part is that the tablet can integrate an Intel RealSense camera module that can capture and scan images in 3D with the help of an inbuilt Pico projector. Besides, another significant add-on module that easily fits onto the bottom of the tablet can extend the battery life to up to 15 hours.
Samsung Portable SSD T3
Samsung has launched a new Portable SSD T3 that offers up to 2TB of storage and weighs less than two ounces. The SSD is the size of your palm and is compatible with USB 3.1 and USB 2.0. It has a sequential transfer speed of up to 450Mbps and also includes AES 256-bit hardware encryption. It can also be seen in the Indian market in the upcoming months.
