The Moto X Force is available in select markets as a power packed device along with a “shatterproof” display. The smartphone was expected to arrive in the Indian markets soon with an announcement yet to take place.
However, it seems like Amazon India had some early information about the release as the e-commerce giant has already put up a listing of the device. Needless to say, the retailer has taken down the listing. Motorola is expected to release the device at a dedicated event on Monday the 1st of February.
Motorola (now known simply as Moto), started offering devices via Snapdeal and Amazon late last year, while Flipkart was its exclusive retail partner in the country since a couple of years ago. But going by the listing here, we might be looking at an Amazon India exclusive.
The Moto X Force is a juggernaut even internally with its 5.4-inch Quad HD display and the octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor. It will be interesting to see how the device will be priced for the Indian markets, which is currently crowded with a myriad of feature rich mid-range and high-end smartphones with a competitive price tag.
Moto is touting the shatterproof display as the key distinguishing factor between itself and the rivals. Pricing will naturally be a crucial factor here, so we’ll eagerly wait for more details on that when the handset is revealed on Monday.
